This is a fully bespoke service. You can choose the location whether it’s a lake or the sea and decide on any words that feel right to you. I can read a poem, say a prayer, or simply say goodbye as I release the ashes back to nature.
You are welcome to watch from the shore if that is right for you. I will take your loved one’s ashes and paddle out into deep water, and mark the exact spot using what3words, recording the entire process on video.
You will receive a certificate with the date, time, and location, plus a link to the video.
This service is available for both people and pets, and I ask for £140 to cover my costs.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch for a consultation.

Because lakes are relatively closed systems, most of your loved one will remain within the waters of that place. It becomes a living, breathing memorial — somewhere beautiful you can return to and feel close once more.
The Lake District is full of these special places. I particularly recommend Ullswater, Windermere, Coniston, or Derwentwater — each with its own mood, its own rhythm, and its own quiet magic.
