If you or any members of your group are not used to the Lake District, be advised you can get multiple, extreme changes of weather in the course of  a day.  I will slowly add to this list over time but here are some simple, honest recommendations to start you off - a rucksack, first aid kit and waterproof cases for your map and phone .
